“These are just beautiful! Thank you so much for all your hard work on our special day”
Editing photographs is a highly enjoyable aspect of my photography. Few things are more rewarding than to settle in front of my monitor and begin to relive the couples special day, watching the many months of preparation that have come before unfold before my eyes in glorious detail. From the excited anticipation of the pre-ceremony shots through to the beauty and sacredness of the service, to the emotion and joviality of the speeches and, finally, the fun and frolics of the evening dancing, every moment has its own little story and it is these moments that I endeavor to capture.
My aim of the editing process is quite simple: each and every wedding has its own unique ‘finger print’. I carefully select the images of the most poignant and precious moments to tell the story of your unique day.
It both thrills and humbles me to consider that these very photographs will be treasured and shared by countless generations to come; it is this responsibility that makes me all the more attentive to ensuring the memories of the day are as perfect as possible…

Fully agree Martyn, sharing a couples wedding day is very humbling and special.
Got my first wedding shoot in October but with my music I’ve played at quite a few weddings over the years.
There is a heightened responsibility during the day and an immense feeling of pride after the event.
All the very best with your first wedding, Ian! I have no doubt that you will do the couple proud. Please let me know if I can be of any help to you in the lead up to the magical day. Perhaps gently begin your preparation by creating a scrapbook of wedding images that particularly resonate with you, analysing exactly what it is about those images that speak to you? The early days of photography are all about enjoyment, experimentation and developing your own style – and that continues to be refined with each and every wedding you photograph from there on. It’s hugely rewarding!
Best wishes
Martyn
